Keating Wagner Recognized for Pro Bono Service

This week, the U.S. District Court recognized Keating Wagner Polidori Free for outstanding service with the Court’s Civil Pro Bono Panel. The panel was started in 2014 and it consists of volunteer attorneys willing to represent individuals of limited financial means in civil matters whenever requested by the Court and without compensation. Judge Philip Brimmer honored the firm as a “Gold Circle” firm, recognizing its outstanding contributions to the program.

Traditionally, these types of appointments were made only in cases where the party was indigent, but the Court has expanded its reach to include more individuals. The court has established a panel of attorneys who are members in good standing of the Bar of the district court and who have agreed to accept pro bono appointments by the court to represent pro se litigants (plaintiff or defendant) in civil cases. Keating Wagner’s attorneys are among those included in this panel, and the firm has handled multiple cases in the last few years.
