Steve Polidori was a longtime partner of Keating Wagner Polidori Free and an important part of the firm’s history. Following his death in 2014 from complications related to cancer, his legacy has continued to be reflected, not only in the firm’s name, but in the firm’s commitment to skilled trial advocacy, justice, and service to clients.

Steve joined the firm in 1982 after serving for five years as a prosecutor handling major felony cases in the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office. His experience as a Deputy District Attorney shaped his deep respect for the role of trial by jury and informed the approach he brought to representing clients throughout his career.

Over the course of his career, Steve earned recognition among his peers as a leading trial attorney in the personal injury field. He tried more than 100 jury trials and achieved numerous settlements and verdicts in excess of $1 million, including cases against some of the largest companies in the country. He was recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers for many years.

Steve was widely regarded not only for his work as a trial lawyer, but also for his warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. Those qualities shaped his relationships with clients, colleagues, staff members, and friends, and remain an enduring part of how he is remembered by the firm.

Steve was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1974 and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law in 1977.
